The Lava Lodge at Hale Kilauea is a collection of suites in a small “village”. Jade House Suites – The Jade House is made of cedar wood and is in the perfect setting for outdoor adventures. This cottage offers a wide array of amenities for the comfort of guests. The suite features a full sized queen bed with comfortable bedding. The room has its own private bathroom with shower and tub. This accommodation also features a fully functional kitchen with cooking and dining equipment. Other amenities include free wireless internet and cable TV, a fireplace for colder nights, dehumidifier and many more.
Sugar Mill Cottage – The Sugar Mill Cottage is a great accommodation for smaller families. Featuring 2 bedrooms with full sized beds, this cottage is gorgeous yet budget friendly. This accommodation has its own kitchen, private bathroom and porch. Basic amenities include free internet access and cable tv with DVD player.
Hale Kaimana – Is the biggest accommodation in this hotel. This guest suite features two bedrooms and a loft. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, while the second room has full sized beds. At the loft there are 3 separate single beds. This accommodation choice is best for families travelling together. It has its own kitchen and dining area.
Service
The rooms are kept clean by in house housekeeping staff. Note that late check ins may incur a fee.
Location
The location of this hotel is perfect for everyone who wants to experience the different side of Hawaii. Experience and view the majestic Hale Ma’uma’u volcano at the Hawaii Volcanoes National park (only one mile away). Other activities that are near include camping in the County campgrounds or enjoy the black sand beaches.
Amenities
Compared to bigger resorts and hotels in Hawaii, this hotel is a little laid back and straightforward. There’s no outdoor pool, tennis court or other amenities you will find in other hotels. However, the location and the view from this hotel is enough to trump all of those amenities. Because this hotel is budget friendly and suitably located, this is the perfect destination for you and your family.

If you are looking to stay in an accommodation with perfect location this is it. The location is very peaceful and quiet. Being near nature will make you think about your life.
I feel lucky that once in my life I have been here. The volcanoes are just majestic and the view was serene.
What I love about this place is its serene and peaceful locations. Aside from sounds from nature, you won't hear anything at night. We'd love to stay here again in the future.
